Get uncomfortable.
A few days ago I was having a transparent conversation with a friend, regarding writing and vulnerability in a song.
Majority of the time it’s not easy to be honest when writing. He challenged me to try a new approach in creating. To write without a guitar…. To just paint the picture of a story with words and ink, no sound. Call them poems, call them short stories- but come naked.
This afternoon I wrote for 30 minutes, with my guitar caged in it’s case. I told a story of a father wishing and praying his son would find himself. In hopes that he just might come back to his home.
It opened something in me.
I encourage you to get uncomfortable.
